Oliveto 2022 Recaps
Here are a few individually written recaps on the year....don't miss Arrow's take!

Hello family and friends! We are glad to share an annual update...Web 2.0 Style.
This year we are definitely feeling the blessings from our Heavenly Father. This year has brought many changes with Zach graduated from high school, Stephen started new business, Tiffany turned 50 and Connor and Jordan started co-op homeschooling. We are definitely feeling the boys growing up way too fast but blessed to still have them under the same roof. Stephen and Tiffany are feeling the pressure to invest in the boys more then ever as they want to involve in different things. We enjoy the outdoors (not all at the same level) so lots of trips to the local parks and did two awesome camping trips. We did experience "The Goodness" by TobyMac this year. We hope you enjoy reading our recap below and please know that we are blessed that you are part of our family.
Oliveto 2022 Photo Recap
Zach has really taken to video editing and we are the grateful recipients of his practicing.
This video is simply a compilation of pictures put to a song that is really resonating with Tiffany lately: The Goodness by Toby Mac.Zach's 2022

This year was a very significant year for Zachary.
- finishing his senior year of high school
- beginning welding school in the winter this year has marked many important events.
The year started off in the middle of his senior year of high school at Central Kitsap High School and also taking a culinary class at West Sound Technical School. He made a few good friends and had a great time learning more about how to navigate culinary arts, which he was able to use to his advantage when working at the Oak Table Cafe for the remainder of his senior year as well as over the summer. Along with working with his brother at the cafe, summer was also filled with many memorable day trips with his girlfriend such as going to Lake Cushman and Sequim. When fall rolled around, Zachary began exploring what the shipyard had to offer and took a more serious approach to determine a future career. He took a short contract and was able to get his foot in the door by fire-watching for about three months and gained some experience through this. Later, he took the opportunity to begin welding school and since then has remained persistent in pursuing this career path.

Connor's 2022 Recap

This year was a significant year for me:
from
- starting first year at co-op homeschooling
- growing into a deeper relationship with friends,
- getting promoted at work, and
- buying my first car...and first truck
Let's start at the beginning of the year...
The year started in the middle of his sophomore year when I was homeschooling fully online. I was working during that time and bought dad's car. I enjoyed adding and fixing up the car in a way I wanted. I enjoyed driving to parks with my younger brother, Jordan and Arrow.
I finished up my online schooling in May and started working full time at Oak Table as a pre-cook. Shortly after I got promoted to a line cook. I worked full time the whole summer and really enjoyed it.
This year was also a big year on the relational side for me.
- I grew into stronger and deeper relationship with God.
- I was a part of the starting of a small group with group of guys from Coram Deo through a study of Galatians. I enjoy time with friends and God's Word.
- This year I also started going to first class at co-op homeschooling and enjoy the community, structure and flexibility schedule working at Oak Table. I look forward to what God has planned for me in the near future.

Jordan's 2022 Recap

NEW: I joined co-op homeschooling as an 8th grader.
SOME THINGS I DO:
- I love to write,
- Run, break, repair, repeat...RC cars
- I play with Arrow...sometimes combining with RC.
SOME THINGS I STILL DO:
- I still play the piano and pick-up the saxophone this past year.
I celebrated the one year anniversary of Arrow and have done a yeoman’s job of caring for the family canine. I enjoyed camping and many outdoor adventures over the summer. We just celebrated my birthday with Arrow (December 23rd). It was a sweet moment as I enjoyed a piece of fancy cake from Costco and Arrow enjoyed a small amount of home cooked chicken :). After turning 14, I got hired as a dishwasher at Oak Table. It is so great when you have two older brothers to lead the path of working hard there. Connor got to train me on the first day :)

Tiffany's 2022 Recap

This year has brought so much changes as I turned 50 and challenged myself to stay healthy. It's been over a year since having COVID and very grateful with good health this year with choosing to eat right and exercise... I think I will live to 100. LOL. It was fun day celebrating my 50th with my good friend at Storm King, Lake Crescent. It was probably the hardest hike I have ever done with a 2 mile hike with 4,000 ft of elevation gain. This hike included traversing ropes and climbing big rocks at the end. It was fun and hard but worth it because I was able to see the whole lake in one setting. I enjoy the outdoors and take any opportunity I can to take Jordan and Arrow for a walk, run or hike. I also enjoy alone time in the woods or anywhere without people. I love being near the water so trips to Ocean Shores, Dungeness Spit, Lake Crescent, Lake Cushman, or any park is so refreshing.
It's also a year of crying out to God for help. I don't like change but then change is good because it gets you to seek the mighty God for answers. I joined Women's Bible Study at Faith Fellowship and did the study on "Breaking Free" by Beth Moore. It was life changing for me personally. With lots of tears and seeking God for wisdom and answers, I found peace, love, thankfulness, security and "FREEDOM" who I am as a believer. Making a choice everyday to life how God wants to live is never easy but with Him by my side I can I live a victorious life. I'm grateful for a deeper relationship with God this year and am looking forward to what God has for me in this coming year.
Stephen and I had a great year being "best friends" and celebrated our 21st anniversary with a day trip to Fort Casey and Deception Pass at Whidbey Island. As the boys grew older and more independent, we have options to take trips by ourselves. We love day trips (especially for Tiffany so she don't have to pack all the facial stuff. lol) By God's grace we are more in love each day and committed to each other. Marriage is never easy but thanks to God we are better together.
This year also a year of reconnecting with extended family. I had an opportunity to go to my nephew's wedding in Georgia in October. It's hard to get together when you are from a family of 8 kids. Not sure when was the last time we were under the same roof. It was a beautiful as both traditional Vietnamese and American wedding. It was the first time that I relearned some of the Vietnamese language. I added Duolingo app to my phone right away after I got home. lol.
Love my job and hoping to put in another 20 years ha ha. Middle school kids are wonderful (sometimes) and fun to be around. There are many reasons why I love my job but one main reason is the people I work with. I'm so grateful that God has given this job to me.
The garden did great this year with lots of zucchinis, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, spinach and beets. As prices go up food we thankful for a fruitful garden.

Stephen's 2022 Recap
A Year of Launching a For Hire Transport Company

Stephen has been in university this past year...the university of small business & the for hire transportation industry. And recent learnings have been revolving around driving the Northwest during winter weather in the context of pre-booked appointments. So, I've been busy driving, providing booking & dispatch services for myself & my team team...basically holding on by my fingernails!
Here are some highlights in the midst of the small business venture:
Vehicle Related
- Connor buys my ‘05 Honda Accord early in the year
- Purchased Honda Odyessey as Flagship Vehicle for Freedom Runners
- Sold the truck to Zach and Connor in December
Started Freedom Runners For Hire Transport Company
- Addition of Two incredible drivers to the Freedom Runners Roster
- Many supportive customers
Self identify as “off-market Real Estate Broker & Advisor”
Loving the chronological One-Year Bible and the connecting commentary.
Several new close friendships established...so grateful for friends...I remember a time when I had zero friends...may I never take a friend for granted. Thank you Father for friends.

Stephen's Professional Realtor Headshot...as typical to a real estate agent's photo, they always show us looking way better than we do in real life... lol
Send Stephen a quick hello...
he'll be so thankful. :-)
Arrow's 2022 Recap
The past year through the eyes of Arrow, our border collie & sixth member of the family

This year was a pretty significant year for my Ball and I. My love for my Ball grew, we went Outside, and we went for Walks. Also, my love for my family grew, even though we like attention and sometimes run away from them and frighten them, it's so funny!
First day of the new year, we went outside! Not only that but we played fetch outside! Then the next day we went outside again! The next day… you won’t believe this …we went outside again! Going outside will never get old, it's so much fun! We do that almost everyday, sometimes we go to this place called a “park” (my family always said that when we went there so we learned) and when we get there we get to chase my ball across the Park, and after that my tongue suddenly becomes very large and we need more air. Now that we got that out of the way, we can stop saying what We do everyday.
Another thing, parks is a very vague word, it can mean a lot of different places, but usually it means a big yellow field. One example is when we went to this big field, but instead of yellow grass it was small yellow rocks. There was also a big blue field that we couldn't walk on (I later learned how to swim in it and retrieve my friend, Mr. Ball) and when the wind blew, it came alive and tried to attack my toes, and when it got to me when we weren’t looking it was very cold. We overheard my family calling the place “Ocean Shores.”
Yet another thing, “camping trips” which are way better than parks, no offense. It's a big field with big trees scattered around everywhere to stop me from going too fast, and sometimes, we stay there for two nights! On one of the camping trips we got on a device that was able to float on the blue field but was very shaky. Another one there was a bunch of small yellow rock, blue, and treed fields. The first one the humans called “Lake Crescent” and the second one they called “Cape Disappointment.”
We would love to tell you about every time we went outside because each one is very different and unique but my family only told us to do a short summary of the year. The only thing important that you need to know is that we went outside, and that's all that matters in life.

Get in Touch with Arrow!
He would love to hear from you and we'll be sure you get a personal reply from our beloved canine family member.
